Valley Replacement

This valley had become worn over time and leaks were starting to appear in the house.

The valley has seen better days. The tiles have become looses over time and now the valley is starting to leak into the house.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The tiles have been stripped back and the battens have been replaced where necessary

Once we stripped the old valley out we replaced the valley trough, this new fibre glass trough, when properly installed, should last for decades.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The valley trough has been installed, new felt under the trough increases the levels of protection.

The whole valley was replaced, new felt and batten has been installed and now we need to refit the tiles.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The tiles have been recut and replaced where necessary and then cemented in, the valley should now be watertight for decades.

The valley has now been completely replaced, the tiles were recut to shape and now the valley no longer has any water regression. This valley should last as long if not longer than the original, over 40 years !
